Some of my strengths on computer are that I know how to do many functions using just the keyboard. Some of my weaknesses are that I cannot type real fast. I have normal speed in typing. I also have to see at the keyboard while I am typing. My strength of using just the keyboard is helpful and fast because it helps to link faster and does the job easier. I can just press the control button and some other letter to do a function. For example control a makes everything highlighted. I still have to practice constantly to improve my typing.

 

Some things that I have improved on technology class are how to type. My speed and accuracy have increased. This quarter we worked on photoshoping, scratch, free time, wiki, internet safety and html. We made our own websites. The website I picked was naruto.viz.com. I think that we should work some more on the photoshoping and making a storyboard with our voices. This could be a great experience. We should learn a bit more about bits and bytes and computer programs. What I liked the most about technology class was the scratch and free time. We got to go and check out our favorite websites.

Greeting card Assignment 

 

My card that was handmade was on Thanksgiving. In the front I have the heading and the picture. The picture consists of two people sitting and having lunch. Thanksgiving is a time to gather. The heading and picture were very easy but the poem was hard to think about. At last I came up with a poem. To make the card I used some color pencil.  I used a clipart drawing and then copied it for my hand made card picture. The poem took me some time but now I am satisfied with it. The message on the 3rd page was very easy .The last page logo was easy to make. It looks like a monsters head and the company I made is Tokyo Anime Inc.

 

The second one was to make it on the computer. This was the hard part. I had to redraw my picture in paint and the transfer it to the publisher. The picture was the hardest part. The tools I used were paint and the publisher. Everything else was basic. I just had to type and center it. The logo and the picture were something I had to draw. This was the hardest part. I retyped everything and then send it to an email and printed it.

 

The hand made card was easy to make and it didn’t take that much time. But the card wasn’t neat. The one on the computer was neat and tidy and had the good details of the picture. The computer method took more time because I had to redraw the picture and the logo. The hand made one took time for the poem. The computer was slower. I prefer the computer method because it was neat. It made the card look better than the hand made one.

The website I reviewed was http://naruto.viz.com/.  

Naruto is a Japanese anime about ninja. I chose this website because the story is very popular around the world. This site is the official Naruto website in America. The purpose of this site is to tell the people of America about this anime. They try to introduce the people of the beginning of Naruto. The series of Naruto has two parts. The first part is Naruto. The other part is Naruto Shippuden. In Naruto Shippuden, Naruto grows taller, smarter, stronger and mature. The website also has information on stores where you can find the Naruto collectible items. It has episode guides and games. Recently they have added a music video. The website also has Naruto video games info.

The design on this website is very good. The background shows a Japanese city. The front page has a picture of Naruto. There are lots of pictures and text on the site. Everything is very easy to read. Everything is very easy to link to. The front page has an equal amount of text and pictures. There is also a link bar on the top of the page. This bar leads to other viz media animes. There are a lot of other animes other than Naruto. The graphics of the games on this website are good. There are supposed to be 4 games but the last game hasn't come out yet. There are character profiles on the website and info about the goods and trading cards of Naruto.

 

     On this website you can only find things about Naruto. There is no additional information. My most favorite things on the website are the games and the character profile of the characters in the show. I like the character profile because it tells all the information about the characters. It tells about the blood type, birthdays and everything about the characters. It is not real. There is also a contest on the front page. You can order things from the site. It takes you to another webpage where it is possible to order things. Some of the drawbacks of the website are that it sometimes gets a little hard to find the place of where to click. The other features of this website are good. This website is made by a group of people. The content expresses its purpose. This website is mostly made for people who are Naruto fans. There are no spelling or grammar mistakes. The content is readable and the website is the official U.S. Naruto website. This means that an expert group made it. There is no particular article that stands out. They are all quite same. The website and the anime are for teens. If parents are to let the children know about his website, they should be concerned about the violence. The violence in the anime is moderate. There is nothing inappropriate in the anime. In my opinion the organization that has made the website has a legal permission to make this website. This is the official site and the organization has done a good job on the website.

Greek God Research Report

 

Ares

 

Ares is the Greek god of war. He is not respected by the Greeks for his violence. This Olympian fights with a sword, a spear, wears armor and never holds back. He is born to Zeus and Hera in the city of Thrace. The war god is despised by his parents and other major Olympian gods. He is an expert at dancing and is loyal and obedient. This is why his symbol is a dog. Ares’ symbols are a dog, a vulture, a spear and a helmet. Ares is a murderous, slaughterous, courageous immortal god sworn to protect or destroy everything with unimaginable violence.

Ares’ main symbols are a vulture, dog, spear and a helmet. The vulture is always found in any Olympian art that portraits Ares. The vulture stands by him near a dead body or on his shoulder while the dog sits loyally by him and shows his fangs. His other main symbols, the spear and the helmet are rarely seen as his symbols but are very important to show his characteristics. Ares’ symbols are one way to show his violence.

 Besides having much strength, Ares has one major weakness. This particular god never takes a moment to think before battle. He orders his army to attack directly. Some of his potencies are his resistance, endurance and perseverance. He never backs down and is considered as bold as a lion and as stubborn as a monkey. Greek god of war became his title because of this major reason.

 Before Ares’ birth, Hera chews a piece of herb and had Ares. Zeus starts to despise Hera for this reason because he had nothing to do with the birth. According to Wikipedia.org, this is the reason Ares is despised by his father. The Greeks think that if Zeus had something to do with the birth then Ares would have been a second hero nest to Heracles. At Ares’ birth Zeus understands what Ares will become when he becomes a full-fledged Olympian.  During his childhood Ares learns dancing. He is very talented at it and is admired by his peers. However, he is very violent and is despised by Olympian gods. Ares doesn’t have many companions. Ares has grown into a strong, bold courageous god who never refuses a fight. However, he never seems to win most of his battles.

 He is known to start most battles than stop them. It is very unlikely for a god to start wars than stop them. Ares is thought to be an evil god but he will never harm anything that has courage. He never kills unless he’s furious. Ares’ twin sister Athena is the goddess of wisdom of war. Ares and Athena always quarrel but Athena always wins because of her wisdom and being “Daddy’s little girl.” Athena always wins in battle but doesn’t have as much strength and courage as Ares.

Ares never married but has had a long affair with Aphrodite. Through Aphrodite, Ares has many children. This immortal is believed to have had 20 affairs. Ares has numerous children but his main children are Eros, Deimos, Phobos and Harmonia. Eros is Aphrodite’s favorite child. Deimos {Terror} and Phobos {Fear} are Ares’ favorite children. They always ride into battle with Ares. Deimos, Phobos and Allala {Warrior from the underworld} are his attendants in battle. They always ride beside him and posses his skill in battle.  

Harmonia is the wife of Cadmus. Cadmus is a famous king who is thought to have killed Ares’ dragon. The dragons teeth fell out and Spartans sprouted. Ares fought in the Trojan War on the side of the Trojans. He originally wants to join on the side of the Greeks but Aphrodite has persuaded him to fight with the Trojans. Watching Ares fight on the side of the Trojans, Diomedes {Greek hero}, retreats. Diomedes then charges again and stabs Ares with the help of Hera and Athena. Ares goes to Mt.Olympus where Zeus heals him. He comes back again and injures Athena with a boulder. Athena had injured him previously. He learns that his son Ascalaphus had been killed. Ares bursts into tears.

Ares is captured by giants. Hermes frees him. Two twin giants capture Ares and seal him in chains. The giants’ mother realizes what her sons have done and let Hermes free him. Ares’ cries during the capture shook the earth. It scared mighty gods like Poseidon, Athena and Zeus. This shows one of the main times Ares was feared.

The God of War kills Poseidon’s son Alirrothios for the rape of his daughter. There is a trial for Ares on a hill named after him where he was found guilty. This was the first recorded trial by the Olympians. There is no punishment for this. Poseidon starts the trial. Poseidon has always liked Ares but after this murder, Poseidon too starts to despise Ares. Every battle that has been fought by the Greeks is led by Ares and Poseidon.

Once during his affair with Aphrodite, Ares is caught by Aphrodite’s husband Hephaestus. Ares tells one of his followers to stay and guard the palace where Aphrodite was to have an affair with him. The guard’s main job is to keep Helios away from the palace. The guard falls asleep and Helios enters the palace. Seeing the couple, Helios warns Hephaestus of the deed and Hephaestus decides to make an invisible net after receiving news from Helios about Aphrodite’s adulterous act. Hephaestus makes a net to try to capture the couple in an embarrassing position. He is successful and makes all the Olympian gods see the couple. Ares is embarrassed and went back to the city of Thrace where he was born. Ares’ hunger for war and bloodlust proves his incredible violence. People might think that he is an evil god but he isn’t. He is a free-minded Olympian immortal who has free-will and is here to protect not destroy. He is a god with courage and strength. Ares is a courageous, murderous slaughterous god sworn in to protect everything with violence.
