The website I reviewed is DeviantART. I chose this site because I go there frequently and for the most part it is a safe, friendly site.
Website Address (URL) – www.deviantart.com
Design & Organization –
Is the design pleasing to the eye? Yes, it’s made up of colors that aren’t too wild but not too bland either. The layout is great too because it is simple but not too bland.
Is the site cluttered, hard to read, or difficult to navigate? It is somewhat cluttered because of so many pictures, but with only 24 pictures per page it’s almost annoying because you need to flip through pages a lot. However if you had an account there, that wouldn’t be a problem.
Are there any glaring design flaws or glitches, or is the site a work of art? Sometimes the add on the page gets out of the area it’s supposed to be, and you can’t see some of the pictures. Every so often an add will pop up (not like a pop up, it replaces the page) that’s set by DeviantART because they want to advertise their shop program.
How well is information organized? The information is organized fine, and you can choose how you want it organized. For example, let’s say you look up ‘puppy.’ You can choose the way you want it organized. Like most posted 8 hours, 24 hours, 3 days, 1 week, 1 month, 1 year, or Way Back. You can also search though certain types of art. Let’s say you wanted to look up a dog that drawn, made, or colored digitally. On the left side you would click ‘Digital Art.’
It is clear where you should click to find each piece of information? Yes, you should click on the picture or words to get from place to place. It couldn’t get much simpler than that.
Purpose –
What is the purpose of the site? The purpose of DeviantART is to be a place that you can post art and have people comment on it, or you can comment on other art. The comments have restrictions, so most posts are kid-friendly.
What information, product or service does it offer? If you are a member, you can pay to sell your art online or buy art from other users. You can also by DeviantWEAR, which are cool designs for clothing that you can wear.
Is this site the only one of its kind? I believe that that there are more sites (such as http://www.sheezyart.com/); however you’re at a risk of more inappropriate content that isn’t blocked.
Content –
Does the content of the site match its purpose? Actually, most art on the site is Photoshopped, and really isn’t as cool as it was before edited. Because DeviantART can’t take anything down unless it breaks any rules (which Photoshopped pictures aren’t). Many people are upset by the amount of ‘art’ that really isn’t art, and go to other sites, which aren’t as popular as DeviantART.
Is the content easily readable? Does it make sense? People post and comment on other’s work, so it depends if they use giant words that no one understands. However some of the beautiful works of art are made in another country that doesn’t speak English and DeviantART doesn’t translate. Most people translate it for you (the artist itself) so you know what they are talking about.
What are some of the highlights? Because the site doesn’t know your age or maturity, they block content that isn’t necessarily appropriate for young kids. This site is more for people that know art and aren’t immature about it.
Is there a page, article or section of the site that really stands out as being fantastic? The search is a main highlight for me, because I’m not a member and can’t post about the art. So I search for what I’m looking for, instead of sifting through pages upon pages to find what I want.
Grammar and Punctuation –
Does the site use proper grammatical elements? It depends on the user. For the DeviantART site, they use the proper grammar as expected. The users aren’t much different.
Are there spelling mistakes and punctuation errors all over the place? Other than what the users say, no, there isn’t.
Effectiveness –
Overall, do you find that the site is effective in doing what it says it does? Yes, object is to post art and possibly buy it if you wanted to.
Are there other sites that do a better or equal job? No, I don’t believe so.
Website Audience –
What group of people is this site made for? It’s made for people that know and understand art.
What age group? What ever age that you think that’s mature enough to look at art. Some things on there are cute, such as art by *celesse, (Found here: http://celesse.deviantart.com/gallery/) while other things, such as photographs, are serious. So it really depends what you’re looking for.
Would someone not of this group or age find the site confusing? Some younger kids might find it confusing because it is a site intended for people older, and for people that draw art.
Is there anything parents should know about this site before letting their children view it? Some pictures are blocked because of their inappropriateness, while others aren’t.
Info about the author –
Is the author a person, organization, or company? DeviantART is a company in New York.

Madison, that is great but I'm not sure if you put two things you did like then two things that you didn't like. I'm sure you liked using the Bamboo rather then drawing out the card.
