My computer strengths are that I can type and i know where most of the letters on the keys are and I can search the web pretty well. I know how to use the internet. My weaknessess are that i can't type fast. It takes time to find what i'm looking for, like if i look up who invented the light bulb, a lot of things will come up and I will not know what to click on. There are different types of Microsoft and i'm not always sure which one is for what or how to use them.

 

The things I learned during technology class was that now I know how to make graphs and to type faster then what I used to before this class. I'm better at Microsoft Excel and Publisher. I now know other programs and websites. I am better at looking up things on the internet, and now I know what a website looks like before it's a website, as I know HTML. I learned a lot of new things during technology class.

Greeting Card Assignment

 

     The hand-made greeting card I made was quite easy. I used colored pencils and a piece paper. Some problems I encountered were that it took a long time to think of a poem and a long time to think of who to make the card for. The rest was easy, becuase I already knew what I was going to write and what the topic is. The logo was easy to think of too.

     The computer version greeting card was more difficult to make than the hand-made one. It was also easy to make it, beacuse I already knew what to write and draw,because I just had to copy from my hand-made one. I used Microsoft Publisher and Paint to make the greeting card. A problem I encountered was that it was pretty hard to draw my picture,but that was really the only thing that bothered me.

     The two methods I used was hand-made and computer version.

Some pros for the computer version was the first one it was easy to type the message and poem and second it was easy to color the card and words. Some cons were that, it was hard to draw the picture and the second one, it was hard to know where to save it. Some pros for the hand-made greeting card was that, it was easy to think of the message and second one, it was easy to color the card and find a logo. Some cons were that, it was hard to think of the poem that has to do with Thanksgiving and the second one, it was hard to think of something to draw.

     The computer version took longer, because you have to do more than the hand-made greeting card.

You have to save it, copy and paste, and go to different knds of programs to make the computer version greeting card, which is a lot more work. My preferred method is hand-made. It is easier to make a card than the computer version. I like to write and draw with my hands.

Website Review 

 

      The website I reviewed is http://www.nationalgeographic.com/. The site’s purpose is to teach you about animals, science and history. It tells you the daily news and talks about the environment. There is also music and videos. The first thing you see is video clips. The site is pretty clear and organized. It doesn’t have bright colors though. If you’re looking for one specific thing it will be easy to find it or you will be able to tell it’s not on the website. The website is real cool looking so you will get easily interested. 

     The content of this website has high-quality. It has good readable information. The content definitely matches its purpose. There are no grammar and punctuation mistakes. The website is made for people who love to learn about new things. It is made for all ages. If somebody who doesn’t really want to learn about animals or science went on this website, they wouldn’t really be confused because the website is well organized and easy to look around. They will get easily interested with the website once they get on it. The site is not inappropriate, so this site would be something your parents would allow. The author of this website is an organization. They did a good job.
