	This is an avatar I made using tektek.org. As you notice in both of the avatars has an ipod glued to my ears.		This is an avatar I made using a program on deviant art. Some kind of anime like design to it and once again the earphones.

     My computer strengths are typing. I don't use or do much with computers often other then use PowerPoint or MicrosoftWord. I also know how to use things for my Ipod like iTunes. I can play a few games but after destroying the computer and keyboard I'm not allowed to play games and download things on the computer. I have more trouble with computers then I know about them. I'm no computer wiz and my fingers seem to want to spell things wrong other then what my brain tells me to say. I really only use the internet and I'm still learning and the classes that I'm taking are helping me...A LOT.

          Mostly I've gotten better with typing. I have learned many things that let me do lots of others things then what I have been doing on my computer. I would try them out on it if the screen wasn't broken. I have an account on typingweb.com and found new websites that I can use. I've gotten to learn how to make graphs to make science projects much easier then what they were.

Greeeting Card Assignment

 The hand drawn card did take longer then the computer card. I think because I knew what I was doing when I was working on the computer card. I had some problems with drawing my dog on the hand made card. His tongue was a little too long and was not the color I wanted it to be. It was a very ugly sad dog. On the inside, I wish I had thought more through on my poem. I would call it very morbid, rather a sensitive subject. I didn't have anything else come to mind so I decided to do a card for Justice. She had a dog die so I made a card for her. Two things I did not like about the hand drawn one is how long it took and how I drew it. The two things I liked was being able to use color pencils as well as normal pencil in the card and not too often, do we get to draw for homework. The other thing I like was doing the little logo on the back.

     Now the computer copy. It didn't take as long and I didn't have to draw much, but at one point I did have to use Paint to fix the images. I found a dog for the cover and I gave him a long tongue like my hand drawn card. I added the same colors to my letters on the cover as I did with my hand drawn card. With the logo I had to put some more time into that one. I picked an image from clipart and then I took the breaching Humpback Whale and had to erase all the background on it. After that, I put a circle around it and typed my words on the bottom. Two things I liked doing was being able to use an image from clipart instead of drawing it on Paint, and making my logo. Two things I didn't like were using clipart to find my images which took most of the time I was working on the project. The other thing was having to use the tools in paint. I find it hard to use any of the tools in Paint to do anything.

www.arkive.org This is the site URL. The company is called Arkive, it’s a ecofriendly and is interested about the research of animals. This organization has moved on to teaching others about many different animals and plants.

The site has many features that make it look more appealing then most sites rather then a blank page with words on it. The color and the pictures make it interesting. The search box found at the top of the page like most sites and boxes on the side are easy to find with out looking for them. There were no glitches that I could see, neither could I find any flaws. I have not caught one mistake in any grammar or spelling errors. One thing that does irritate me though it sometimes if you have an account the page for saving favorite videos and photos they erased over some time.

It is clear were you should find information. There are tabs next to the animal’s pictures that you can find different pieces of the animals information, such as description or feeding or maybe breeding.

People of all ages can come here and understand most things on the site. Mostly the people on here would be students, teachers and other interested in animals and there habitat.

The main purpose is to educate others and showing the beauty of animals in there natural habitat. It is also often used for study and other educational reasons. Other then most videos the videos on the site are not narrated and often not edited. It offers education and many photos and videos to the public. It allows many to search on animals there are interested in or use for a research project. Even though it does get donations from supporters it is a completely free site to search on.

Other then search engines (Google, Yahoo, ect.) it is the only one of its kind. It has many features that I haven’t seen on other websites and hoping that maybe other websites can learn from this one to make searching on there site easer. The most interesting part I think is the way they have so many different species with all kinds of photos and videos. It must have taken years on end to get such a collection of photos and videos. There great photos and videos are wonderful. They catch animals in the act of doing everyday activities.

Internet Quiz....

I did okay on it. I could have done better. Out of ten I got eight of them correct. They seemed easy but I guess I'm not as good with the internet as I though.
