     My computer strengths include knowing how to find things on a search engine easly, how to save stuff from one page to another, and how to turn a computer on and off correctly. The skills can be very useful for homework, spear time, or finding derections.

     

     The strenghts that I don't posess but i would like to learn are typing with out looking at the keyboard and how to create web-pages (like your on now). I would like these skills because I am in the process of writing a book. So being able to have a better website and be able to type faster would be helpful.

Greeting Card Assignment

 

     When I made the card by hand it was a little bit easier to do because I could fix the card upside down to draw a better symbol. (My symbol has text all around it.) When I drew a tree I had a circle around it and it was easier draw then it is to try to perfectly fit it around in the computer. A hard part for drawing it was that when writing the poem and message it had to be centered and that was pretty hard. The materials that I used were a sheet of lineless paper, a pencil, and some crayons.

     When I had drawn it on the computer it was a little harder because I had to draw all the pictures on paint and find it on publisher and fix it so it would fit better. It took about two days to do it on the computer and 1 hour to do it on paper. A good thing about it on the computer is that when I need to center it I can a lot better and faster. When I was drawing my symbol on the computer it took me about 15 minutes to draw just that.

     I would rather draw the pictures in real life but type the text on the computer. It took way longer to do the computer version. A bad thing about the computer version is the drawing but a good part is typing. A bad thing about the paper version is the text but a good part is the drawing. A good thing about the paper version is it takes about 1 hour to do it but a bad part is if you mess up coloring you can't fix it well. A good thing about the computer version is coloring can be fixed in an instant and a bad part is the time it took to place the pictures where I wanted them to go.

When you get on to the website you will find information on ads and games. All of the information is easy to read and to understand. It also is very well organized. The purpose of the site is so that kids can look up information about the shows that the TV network shows, and to let kids play games that are appropriate. The games that you find there are all based on the TV shows that the network has, so you probably won't find them on another website.

     The information on the page is understandable. On the page there are no words or grammatical mistakes that I could find. At the top you can find a scrolling bar of characters from all the different shows. If you find one that you like, click on it. It will take you to another page all about the show and all the games based on the show.    

     The game listings do not have punctuation but the episode recaps and show information all use correct punctuation. There were not any mistakes that I have found.   

     The site fulfills its purpose well. All though there are other sites that have some of the shows on them www. cartoonnetwork.com does a good job of holding them all together and a very wide selection of games on the shows.  

     I would say that the site age group would be about 6 – 15, or anyone who likes cartoons. The site is made for kid that like cartoons.

     I am pretty sure that the producers of the page are all in a company. (Unfortunately I do not know the name of the company.) But all of the information that I’ve read was correct.

The Quiz

 

The quiz was easy except for a couple of questions. My score was 10/10 which is better than what I would have had in the beginning of the quarter. I took the I know the internet quiz. There was one hard part the question was what are good manners on the web called ( i guessed, but at least I got it right).

Next Year...

 

Next year I would like to continue on typingweb because that helped me get better at typing, since I typing a book it can take a long time to finish. I would like to learn how to make html's better. Next year I would like to learn about scratch.
